After surgery you're likely to feel exhausted, exerience pain and soreness and be emotionally drained after a period of a roller coaster existence and exercising is probably the last thing on your mind. However recent studies have established a clear link between exercising and improved quality of life both during treatment and post surgery.

 

The Pink Ribbon Program developed by Doreen Puglisi, a breast cancer survivor herself, is a therapeutic and rehabilitative exercise program designed specifically for female and male survivors to regain strength and mobility in the areas affected by surgery, treatment and possible reconstruction, and to find a sense of wellbeing that may have been lost from diagnosis through surgery into recovery - reclaiming a positive body image!

 

The exercises will help to stretch and strengthen the shoulder, chest, back and abdominals to improve your range of movement and restore posture. The Pink Program is for all fitness levels and abilities and it's suitable for eveyrone, regardless of whether the surgery was recent or several years ago.
